Pakistan is grappling with severe monsoon flooding and landslides that have claimed at least 307 lives across several northern districts. The disaster has resulted in widespread injuries and significant damage to homes, infrastructure, and agriculture, primarily affecting the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
In light of the scale of destruction, there is a clear and urgent need for enhanced disaster relief efforts.
In solidarity with the Pakistani community in South Africa, a community that has stood by the country in times of strife, Gift of the Givers, through its partner, the Al Khidmat Foundation, is extending humanitarian support to those affected.
Initial relief efforts are focusing on providing essential items such as food parcels, clean water, blankets, clothing, and other urgently needed supplies to assist survivors in rebuilding their lives.
A medical camp has been set up to aid the injured.
